The value chain assessment aimed at identification of potential beneficiaries, alternative livelihoods and infrastructural projects needed in the target villages in the aftermath of 2010 floods, with special focus on women. The study focused on rapid assessment of existing livelihoods of people in the target villages, market opportunities in and around these villages and identification of skills and other support services needed to help people exploit those opportunities. Key findings of this study will inform AWAZ CDS design
need based interventions to restore livelihoods and improve infrastructure and services to the poorest of the poor in target communities.
