Ms. Sayyada Mujeeba Batool (Member)

After starting her professional career as a human rights activist in 1999, Syeda Mujeeba Batool has worked at progressively on different positions in national and international development sector organization since the last 12 years. Her experience has been concentrated in programme planning, development communication, advocacy, research and capacity building. Currently she is working in ICMC an international nongovernmental organization, works for protection of EVIs and involved in humanitarian assistance as Senior Manager Projects. On the other hand she is running a self financed school for street children of slum area in G-11, Islamabad as responsible citizen of Pakistan.

She has been part of several women rights and education related researches and studies. Her contribution towards the development and implementation of the “Code of Conduct for Sexual Harassment at the Workplace” is a major achievement, which has been endorsed by the parliament and has become a Women Protection Bill, in the country. She has led several women, children rights and peace campaigns as part of her endeavors’ in policy advocacy. She has imparted a large number of trainings on gender related themes and collaborated with a broad range of individuals and organizations from the public and private sectors on peace and gender issues.

She has vast experience in the field of networking and linkages building with UN, Donors, bilateral funding agencies and government during her stay in different organizations. She led Networking and Communication department of HRDN for about five years during which she also worked as Acting Executive Director for about two years. There she was responsible for overall management of the organization, monitoring and overseeing programs, and publishing a quarterly development magazine “ILLUME” as Editor. During that period she also developed, implemented and monitored many Humanitarian Response and Disaster Risk Reduction projects and gained a solid understanding of Logframes, monitoring and evaluation frameworks and mechanisms for emergencies.

She has imparted several training rights based programming/ monitoring and evaluation and visioning exercises for CBOs and programme team. She has also been involved in extensive report writing and has represented abovementioned organizations at national and international forums.
