Educating Girls Transforming Communities (EGTC) Project is being implemented by AWAZ Foundation Pakistan: Centre for Development Services in district Muzaffargarh. The project is focused on all girls high, middle schools & 7% girls’ primary schools of district Muzaffargarh.
The ultimate goal of EGTC project is to increase the girls’ retention in schools of district Muzaffargarh. The specific objective of the project is to provide the evidence based knowledge and to discourage the factors and consequences behind the girls drop out in the education sector in Pakistan especially district Muzaffargarh. It also focuses retention of girls in schools, decrease in drop out, examination and improvement of infrastructure by evidence based advocacy and policy development initiatives.200 girls schools selected in 4 tehsils of district Muzaffargarh comprising all high & Middle schools and 7% primary schools of the district.
