A two-day capacity building workshop was conducted in Lahore under the initiative Promoting Girls’ Education in Punjab, with the support of the Malala Fund. The workshop convened over 30 Women Education Champions from 16 districts, including Multan, Cholistan, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan, to strengthen grassroots advocacy for girls’ education.
The program explored the education landscape in Punjab and the multiple barriers limiting girls’ access to quality education. Through participatory sessions, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants developed knowledge of rights-based advocacy, community engagement, and effective communication strategies to promote awareness and drive change at the local level.
The initiative contributes to building a network of informed and confident leaders dedicated to advancing inclusive and equitable education for girls across Punjab.
